A hand-cranked coffee grinder with a knurled aluminium body sized to the palm and a wooden knob on a steel arm. The grinding core is a 420 stainless steel conical burr with seven points, which pulls the bean down into the cut instead of throwing it, so the grind comes out more even.
The adjustment ring sits on the outside of the body under the crank, numbered 0 to 60, and each step moves the burr 0.029 mm. The supplier publishes a ready-made map of those numbers: 0 to 1.0 for espresso, 0.5 to 2.0 for the moka pot, 5.0 to 8.0 for pour-over and 8.0 to 9.0 for the French press, so a setting is dialled by number rather than counted in clicks.
