Forty Road Roastery - Tekaba - 250g

A single-origin El Salvador coffee from Forty Road, classified for both espresso and filter — and that alone tells you it is a balanced lot that holds up either way. Pull it dense in the morning and brew it as filter in the afternoon, out of the same bag.

Start with espresso: 18 g in, 36 ml out in 28 seconds, then taste and adjust the grind — coarser if it runs sharp, finer if it runs thin. If you want it as filter, try a V60 at 1:16 with water at 93 C. Buy it whole bean and grind each cup right before you brew; 250g gives you weeks of dialing in.
