The third generation of Timemore's Basic scale: a 140 × 120 × 20 mm chassis weighing 300 g, thinner and lighter than the one before it, with IPX3 water resistance for splashes on a bar. It reads from 0.2 g to 2000 g, to 0.1 g up to 500 g.
Three timer modes — regular, pour-over and espresso — are reached from a single slider that also powers the scale on. It shows the flow rate in real time and works out the coffee-to-water ratio once the dose is entered, and an electromagnetic shield keeps magnetic bar tools and nearby appliances out of the reading. The 1600 mAh battery runs up to 24 hours and refills in 3.5 hours over USB-C, while the ribbed mat wraps the chassis edge to edge and flips over to give a contoured portafilter rest.
