A SUS304 stainless mesh disc that sits on the tamped coffee inside a 58 mm portafilter basket. It takes the water coming down from the group and spreads it over the whole bed instead of letting it strike one point.
The disc itself is 58.5 mm across and 0.8 mm thick, both etched on its face along with the SUS304 grade. After the shot the group head stays cleaner, because grounds do not stick to the shower screen.
