Barbaric - Black Forest - 100g

"Black Forest" is the name Barbaric chose for what it wants in the cup: the character of a Black Forest cake, dark chocolate and cherry, with a clear sweetness that shows itself best when you drink it black. The omni roast is dialed to work equally on espresso and filter, so the cup lands balanced with moderate acidity.

Because it is an omni roast, try it both ways: espresso at 18 g in and 36 ml out in 28 seconds, or a V60 at 1:16 with water at 93 C and a medium grind. The chocolate reads denser as espresso, while the cherry comes through clearer as filter. Take it as whole beans, grind before each cup, and the 150g bag covers about eight double shots.
