Uganda is one of the African origins you see least often on specialty shelves, which makes this an easy one to say yes to. The Roastery, out of Saudi Arabia, takes it to an omni roast — deliberately pitched in the middle so it performs on more than one brew method instead of being locked to one.
The bag is 250g, enough to try it both ways. Start on filter: 15g to 250ml at a medium grind with water at 93C, a neutral starting point that shows you the coffee as it is. Then move to espresso with an 18g dose pulled to about 36g in 28 seconds, and adjust from there to taste. Grind for each brew rather than all at once — the difference in freshness lands straight in the cup.
